It looks like STX is finally out of the broomball business. The Canadian distributor that has assembled and distributed the brooms in the past confirmed that they would not be distributing brooms in the future. STX has not responded to calls which also confirms that they have no interest in the broomball business. Too bad, but luckily we have had the introduction of a number of good quality brooms to take the place of the STX broom line. The Blue Ox brooms have been very well received. The new Dgel Tactik is an absolute winner. It is very comparable to the STX Gold Crown and Red Rocket. And finally, Acacia has created the new Hot Shot that looks to be comparable to the blue STX Spider. Acacia has improved their Deluxe broom to the point that I would say it is a good replacement to the STX Laser. There were issues with this broom in the past, but they have softened the head and made the shaft stronger. We are in good broom shape for the 2011/2012 season.
Good bye STX. We will miss you. My favorite brooms of all time.
